The collection was transferred by the Department of the Army to the National Archives after the 1973 fire at the National Personnel Records Center in St. The collection is part of Records Group 64, Records of the National Archives and Records Administration. Records are originally housed at The National Archives at St. Rosters are most often arranged by type of unit and reporting unit. This military collection contains rosters of officers and muster rolls of enlisted men that were prepared both monthly and bimonthly between the years 1916-1939.
